Business Development Manager (m/f/d)


Since SKF RecondOil is growing we are now looking for Business Development competency both within SKF, the mother company and at SKF RecondOil. As the Business Development Manager in SKF RecondOil you will lead the sales, business and capability development of SKF’s Circular Oil Offering, Oil as a Service, deploying fee and performance-based business models using the SKF RecondOil value proposition, together with the business development team. As a Business Development Manager in SKF you will have the regional responsibility in your area.

Your day-to-day work
As a Business Development Manager you will be the ambassador and educator for the sustainable use of oil, reducing CO2 emission and the use of oil in industry. You will also coach and develop SKF Industrial Market Sales and Application Engineering teams to promote Oil as a Service and capture leads and opportunities. 

Further duties will be:

  • Deploy innovative marketing of the RecondOil value proposition globally, positioning SKF as a leading company for sustainability
  • Lead the development of an oil re-generation infrastructure and logistics set up globally
  • Develop partnerships with specialist companies to secure key capabilities such as lubricant testing, flushing, blending and surveying


  • Relevant sales or business development experience from the Oil and/or Specialty Lubricant industry
  • Experience from leading a team with a drive to motivate and coach others
  • Experience from signing and delivering oil supply agreement to industrial customers
  • Experience from introducing new oil blends, products or brands to customers
  • Validation, tech and lab services, awareness of verification and validation procedures with local customers 
  • Managed investment projects in fixed assets and stock to service long term supply agreements
  • Deep knowledge of local industrial lubricant (oil) market, industrial customers and their oil usage, key applications and known challenges, oil supply chain, oil blenders and distributors, and oil logistics providers
  • Demonstrated direct sales experience to industrial end users, including plant and C-Level positions
  • Valid Driver's Licence, Category B
  • University degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience) is preferred
  • High communication skills in English, verbal and written
